Use your own invitation design

A photo of your printed card works too.

• A PNG or JPG picture. A PDF does not work: in Canva, choose Share › Download and save it as PNG or JPG.
• Portrait, taller than wide, works best, because most guests open the invitation on a phone.
• Pictures wider than 1,600 pixels are made smaller for you. Check that the text is still easy to read on a phone screen.
• Your picture is always shown whole, never cropped.

• Your design at the top of the invitation, with the reply form below it. Everything below the picture uses your theme's colours and lettering, so choose a theme that goes with it.
• Under the picture, the page also shows the date and the place from Event settings, with a link to the map, and your Description.
• Your design at the top of the invitation email, and in the preview a chat app shows when you share the link.
• If your invitation is locked with a PIN, guests see your Cover photo until they enter the PIN and your design after it, because a design usually shows the date and the place. The preview in chat apps then shows your cover photo, or the theme's picture, instead of your design.

Nothing reaches guests until you publish your invitation.

The words in your picture are part of the image, so they cannot change by themselves. If the date, time or place changes, change it in Event settings and upload a new version with Change under Your own design. The date and place shown under the picture follow Event settings straight away.

Remove takes your picture off the invitation, and guests see the theme's design again.
