Publish your invitation
Until you publish it, your invitation is a draft that nobody else can open. Publishing opens the link for your guests; it needs the free trial or Premium and a date.

How to publish
- Choose your event and open Invitation in the menu on the left.
- The link status shows Not published yet. Press Publish now.
- Confirm in Publish the invitation?.
- Open your event and go to the Invitation tab.
- The link status shows Not published yet. Tap Publish now.
- Confirm in Publish the invitation?.
Your link is now live. If the app shows Add the date first instead, add the date of your event in Event settings first.
Check it before you publish
On a computer, the Invitation page shows your real invitation in a phone frame, and Preview in web view opens it full size. In the app, tap Open full preview.
Who can see it
Invitation pages do not appear in search engines. Only someone with your link, a guest's personal link or your QR code can open the invitation. If you publish and share nothing, nobody sees it.
New events are locked with a PIN: someone who opens the general link sees the names and the design, and sees the date, place and text after entering the PIN. Personal links and the QR code never ask for it. Read more about the PIN.
Your link address
When you publish, your invitation gets a short address made from the hosts' names, such as vowly.co/e/emma-james. With a paid subscription the owner can choose another one once, under Invitation link and Change the link. Old addresses keep forwarding to the invitation.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the invitation after publishing?
Yes. Text, design, settings and sections can be changed at any time, and guests see the change straight away. You do not need to publish again.
Will people find my invitation on Google?
No. Invitation pages are hidden from search engines. Only people you give the link or QR code to can open them.
