The language of your invitation
Your invitation opens in each guest's own language. Buttons, headings, the reply form, dates and times are translated; your own texts appear as you wrote them, and you can add them in a second language.
On this page
Which language a guest sees
- A link with a language in it opens in that language; a plain link opens in the language of the guest's browser.
- At the bottom of the page, guests can switch between the nine languages. The choice is remembered on their device.
- If the guest's device uses another language, the page opens in English.
What is translated
Vowly translates everything it writes: buttons, headings, the reply form, dates and times. The tone follows your type of event: friendly for weddings, birthdays and parties, formal for corporate and other events.
Texts you write, such as your invitation text, your story and your answers to questions, appear exactly as you wrote them. There is no automatic translation.
Add your own texts in another language
In Guest experience, open Other languages. It covers your invitation text (Description), the title and text of Our story, and your FAQ. A field you leave empty shows the original.
Other texts, such as programme part names, the timeline, the menu and your own questions, have no second-language field. Write them in both languages, for example "Welcome dinner / Cena di benvenuto".
The language of the emails
Invitation language in RSVP settings sets the language of invitation emails. A guest who replies in another language receives the next emails in that language.
