Choose a theme and a cover photo

The theme is applied straight away, and Undo in the message that appears takes it back. You can change it as often as you like, also after publishing; your link stays the same.

You see the four themes of your type of event. To use the themes of another type, change the event type.

• Your photo replaces the theme's picture in every theme, so you can still switch themes.
• Some themes show every photo in black and white or in warm sepia tones. The app says so under the preview.
• Photos wider than 1,600 pixels are made smaller when you upload them, so a photo of that width is plenty.
• Use theme photo goes back to the theme's own picture.

The photo area has a fixed shape in each theme, and it differs between a phone and a computer, so part of your photo may be cut off. Press Adjust framing and drag the point onto what must always show, such as your faces. The window shows what a phone and a computer keep.

In themes where the photo fills a wide band, a standing photo that would be cut to a thin strip is shown whole on a soft background instead; the window marks it Shown whole. A new photo starts centred, so check the framing again after changing it.

• The invitation in your theme, with your cover photo at the top. For every type except Corporate event and Other, it first opens from an envelope.
• If you have not uploaded your own design, the same photo appears at the top of the invitation email and in the preview a chat app shows when you share the link.
• Nothing reaches guests until you publish your invitation. After that, every change shows straight away.
• Once the event is over, the design can no longer be changed.
